After many years of planning, it’s fantastic to finally see our new self-storage building on Leasgeary Road in Portree take shape! We’ve been offering self-storage using shipping containers for some time now, but this new facility is a big step forward — it will provide modern, high-quality storage units to better meet our customers' needs.

2022 was an exciting year for Jansvans as we celebrated 50 years in business.
​
It was in October 1972 from humble beginnings that Jan & Effie Nicolson established the business from
the basement of their home at Viewfield Road Portree.
The “vans” being derived from the sale and repair of Caravans and Mobile Homes
The “Jan” from the initials of the co-founder John Alick Nicolson
Over the year we will be taking our loyal customers on a road trip of our proud history.
